wpmark.dev ("us", "we", or "our") operates the ReceiptScan mobile application (the "Service").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

Information Collection and Use

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

This includes:

• Receipt images you capture or upload
• Extracted receipt items and prices
• Split history and calculations
• People/groups you create
• Currency preferences
• Subscription status

You have complete control over this data. It remains on your device and is backed up to your iCloud account according to your device settings.

Camera and Photo Library Access

ReceiptScan requests access to your device's camera and photo library to:

• Capture receipt images
• Select existing receipt images from your photo library
• Process images using on-device OCR (Optical Character Recognition)

All image processing happens locally on your device. Images are not uploaded to any server.

Advertising (AdMob)

ReceiptScan displays non-personalized advertisements from Google AdMob for free tier users. We have configured our app to show only contextual ads that do NOT track you across apps or websites.

How Non-Personalized Ads Work:

• Ads are based on the context of the app (finance-related content)
• Ads may be based on your general location (country-level, derived from IP address)
• Ads may be based on your device language
• No user profiling or tracking across apps/websites
• No advertising ID (IDFA) collection

Information AdMob May Collect:

• IP address (for general location and ad delivery)
• Device type and operating system (technical requirements)
• Ad interaction data (clicks, views - not linked to you personally)

What We DON'T Collect for Ads:

• ❌ Advertising ID/IDFA (not used)
• ❌ Cross-app tracking data
• ❌ Behavioral profiles
• ❌ Personal interests or browsing history

No App Tracking

ReceiptScan does NOT request permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites. We believe in privacy-first advertising, showing only contextual ads based on app content rather than personal tracking.

Data Usage

How We Use Your Data

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• We do not have access to your receipt images or split history
• We do not process your data on external servers
• We do not share your data with third parties (except AdMob as described above)
• We do not use your data for analytics or tracking

Premium Features (In-App Purchase)

When you purchase a premium subscription:

• Apple processes the payment through the App Store
• We receive only a transaction receipt from Apple (no financial details)
• Your subscription status is stored locally on your device
• We do not store credit card or payment information

Your Data Rights

GDPR Rights (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights:

• Right to Access: Access your personal data (all data is already accessible in the app)
• Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate data (edit directly in the app)
• Right to Erasure: Delete your personal data (see Data Deletion below)
• Right to Data Portability: Export your data (see Data Export below)
• Right to Object: Object to data processing (disable ads via premium subscription)

CCPA Rights (California Users)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

Data Export

You can export all your data at any time:

1. Open ReceiptScan
2. Go to Settings
3. Tap "Export My Data"
4. Choose format (JSON or CSV)
5. Share via email, messaging, or save to files

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time:

1. Open ReceiptScan
2. Go to Settings
3. Tap "Delete All My Data"
4. Confirm deletion

Alternatively, deleting the ReceiptScan app from your device will permanently remove all locally stored data.

Children's Privacy

ReceiptScan is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Data Security

Your data security is important to us:

• All data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage
• iCloud backup is encrypted and controlled by Apple
• We do not transmit sensitive data over the internet
• No server-side data storage or processing

International Data Transfers

Since all data is stored locally on your device and optionally in your iCloud account, there are no international data transfers performed by ReceiptScan. AdMob may transfer data internationally as described in Google's privacy policy.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Displaying an in-app notification (for material changes)

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
